The US/NATO/Israeli axis of evil spent 8 years trying to destroy Syria in the same way they decimated Iraq. The fact they didn’t succeed is a combination of Syrian civilian determination, Syrian military prowess, & the intervention (asked for by the Syrian government) of Russia
